After last year's great success, Moood Indigo will come to the monumental Oude Kerk in Scheveningen during Noordzee Jazz.

MOOOD Indigo was formed in the summer of 2018, meanwhile the trio has chosen a very contemporary repertoire with a mix of well-known older and newer Jazz and Pop music. A stylish and passionate trio, they perform intimate gigs but can also be heard at Fascinating Jazz, Jazz in the canal and at Voorburg jazz culinary.

 

Manon Dijkstra started 25 years ago as a singer with The Straight Life Big Band and then she developed more as a jazz singer with her jazz band, The Vintage 5. Now she has been the shining vocal centrepiece of MOOOD Indigo for five years!

 

Pieter van Santen studied piano at the conservatory with Henk Meutgeert and Rob Van Kreeveld. He worked for seven years as pianist and actor with cabaret group Crème Fraiche. He composed music for the White Cowboy and Booby's body (VPRO television). Released 2 CDs under the name Van Santen Zingt Zelf and Van Santen Zingt Zelf Zalige Kerstsongs.

 

Ludo Deckers played in several bands, the Ted Easton Hot Shots and The Harbour Jazz Band. In 2001, he formed his own 10-piece jazz band, The Fabulous Orchestra, with which he toured the Netherlands and Europe.

 

Trio expansion

MOOOD Indigo also performs in various line-ups, making them suitable for intimate dinner music evenings, weddings, festivals, parties and jazz venues. Regular drummer Rene Winter regularly joins the trio and or guitarist Vincent Koning plays along.

 

Rene Winter has played and toured with Denise Jannah, Lils Macintosh, the Glenn Miller orchestra, etc. His discography includes more than 50 CDs with Lils Macintosh, Bas van Lier, Rob Pronk, Jazzed to the Max, etc. He has played at all kinds of international jazz festivals in Europe, but also in South Africa and the USA.

 

Vincent Koning is a Dutch jazz guitarist and teacher. He graduated cum laude from the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague in 1997 and from the Hilversum Conservatoire a year later. In 2002, he recorded a CD with the Hague Allstars with Peter Beets and Simon Rigter, among others. Since then, he has toured extensively and played all over the world, including with pianist Rob van Bavel's trio 'the Ghost, the King and I', with whom he recorded six albums. The Ghost, the King and I.

 

MOOOD Indigo, guarantees a wonderful evening where fun and humour are also of paramount importance.
