GreenWoods Romantic Hubertus Autumn Fest
Join these convivial Sundays, enjoying the romantic culture of fall foliage, horses, dogs, music and hunting culture for the region Wassenaar/The Hague/Leiden.
Enjoy a traditional carriage drawn by two heavy draft horses from the Ardennes. You will visit the private estate De Witte Hoogt in Rijksdorp and will see the interreligious chicken house, the Old-Dutch coffee house, the ponds, the African hut, the Cape Dutch Pavilion, and the folly of a Zermatter mountain chalet and have a glass of warm mulled wine on the outlook point of De Witte Hoogt after this walk.
After this intermezzo the romantic autumn tour continues. On the GreenWoods Stud farm you will see the gathering of the Falabella stallions, and some days there will be a hunting dog demonstration or a concert of one of the hunting horn ensembles of GreenWoods. You will listen to one of the biggest dance organs in The Netherlands, the GreenWoods Palace Organ, and enjoy in the Hunting Room a Fest with wood fire, hunting music, warm mulled wine, warm chocolate, speculaas (Dutch styled spiced shortcrust biscuits) etc.. The Hunting Room will be decorated in "fall foliage"- style. GreenWoods Stud (Stoeterij In 't Groene Hout) has been organizing these well attended Hubertus events for years, and continues therewith this nice and convivial tradition.
Dress yourself well and in style, enjoy the trendy "fall foliage" and participate in the relaxed fall atmosphere with pleasant drinks and bites in the Hunting and Tack Rooms of GreenWoods Stud. This is the fourth year that the general public can participate. GreenWoods is popular amongst the Wassenaar and The Hague expat community.
