Micropia Reopens!

Micropia is open to all visitors again! A number of safety and hygiene measures have been taken to enable a safe and educational visit for all visitors. 

Note: you must first reserve a start time. Without a reserved start time you will not be able to access Micropia. You can make a reservation via your My ARTIS account. Click on the button below to get to My ARTIS. Do not come by public transport, but by bicycle, on foot or by car.

Start times and entrance tickets can only be booked online with a. There are no long lines at the checkout or crowds at the main entrance. The safety and health of visitors, employees and animals is paramount during a visit.


New start times every saturday

Micropia evaluates the bustle in the museum every day and wants to give everyone the chance to visit the park. Based on the daily evaluation, we will release new start times for the next week and a half on Wednesday. Keep an eye on the website for this.


Measures in micropia

In addition to the mandatory start time, other measures have been taken in Micropia. A separate entrance and exit has been chosen. The entrance of Micropia is currently located on the Plantage Kerklaan. The exit is via Artisplein. In some places in Micropia it is quite difficult to keep a distance from each other. That is why a fixed route has been mapped out. In various places are indicated boxes in which you can stand in order to keep your distance. The exhibitions Extremophile Theater and Scammers are temporarily closed. Micropia is also cleaned more often and there are places in the museum where you can disinfect your hands.


What can you do yourself?

Micropia follows the policy of RIVM. Therefore, only come to Micropia with your family or the person with whom you, according to RIVM, form a household. Stay at home if you are at risk or have a cold like a runny nose, sneezing, sore throat, mild cough, fever, or elevation up to 38 degrees Celsius. Also stay home if one of your family members has these complaints.


Come by bicycle, car or on foot. To avoid overloading the transport network, do not come by public transport. In this way, all doctors, nurses and other (care) employees can continue to perform their important professions safely. Keep in mind the following guidelines in the park:

• Keep at least 1.5 meters away from visitors, employees and animal shelters

• Do not shake hands

• Cough or sneeze in your elbow

• Wash your hands regularly

• Pay contactless everywhere
