World premiere BBC Earth’s Antarctica
To celebrate the fact that Omniversum has the world premiere of BBC Earth's Antarctica, the entire weekend of 10 and 11 October will be devoted to this wonderful big screen film. For example, the film will run continuously from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there are many fun activities in the film theater such as a free penguin or seal poster for all children; a free activity sheet with Antarctica facts and assignments; a penguin mascot to dance with; a snapchat filter with which you can make Antarctica selfies; there are penguin ice creams and other special Antarctica snacks; and every hour a visitor is surprised with a sustainable penguin or seal hug from the World Wildlife Fund.
Antarctica is a mysterious continent with many wonderful creatures. Using the latest techniques, BBC Earth plunged under six feet of ice for breathtaking images of dancing jellyfish, thousands of starfish and flamboyant slugs. All kinds of things are happening in Antarctica and the surrounding islands; heavy elephant seals defend their harems, comical penguins search for their young among millions of congeners and leopard seals show their impressive hunting techniques. You will be amazed at this unique, wonderful large-screen film on the 840 m² dome screen. Antarctica and the Southern Ocean play a vital role for the entire planet. They regulate ocean currents and sea levels and the animals absorb large amounts of CO2. However, climate change has a disastrous impact. This pristine land of snow and ice is heating up quickly. Global cooperation is necessary to protect Antarctica and ensure the health of the Earth.
