Teach on the beach!

A cocktail of language teachers and their most loyal supporters during Scheveningen picnic

'They teach near the beach', but sometimes the dedicated TaalTaal teachers are doing absolutely nothing at all. Well, nothing....? The sun rises for nothing and who leaves a sunny summer pass unnoticed? Alright, let's go beachezzz! ;-)

The Language Institute TaalTaal in Scheveningen is well-known for its fun and informal language lessons. Practicing in small groups with a lot of personal attention from the teacher; this is an important spearhead for the language school on the Hoge Prins Willemstraat. When offering more than twenty different languages, you can imagine that not every teacher knows all the other teachers personally. As a teacher, you mainly work independently and it is not inconceivable that you sometimes wish to meet your other colleagues in a light-hearted way. Let's face it, such a typical 'Scheveningen breeze' naturally blows more than enough air in conversations that are held during a picnic, because if something brings people together, it is sunshine, good homemade snacks and a few alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks!

In a matter of seconds, a part of the beach in Scheveningen was covered with a patchwork of colourful rugs. Teachers arrived at the beach wearing flip-flops, armed with coolers and crates filled with all kinds of goodies. From deviled eggs with anchovies, to tortillas and unique sweet pastries with rhubarb and white chocolate. Bottles of rose wine were opened for the winies and there were candy chains for the children. Experienced teachers got to know the newbies and the 'supporters' such as partners, friends, relatives and pets also seemed to be having a great time. Especially 'TaalTaal pet', dog Idefix, who has probably never been petted so much in her entire life!

Would you also like to meet the (in)famous TaalTaal teachers? You can see them live in action during the Open Days on September 6th from 18.00 - 21.00 hours and on September 10th from 13:00-16:00 hours. Free intakes including snacks & drinks will be available! Autumn courses will be starting for all languages in the week of September 19th.
