The Willemsvaart: Discover The Hague from the water!
The Willemsvaart, named after King Willem I who had a waterway dug from the Prinsessegracht to the coast, has been offering various boat trips in the city center of The Hague and towards Scheveningen beach since 2009. An experienced guide will tell you historical facts and interesting anecdotes about the city during the cruise. In addition to the standard boat trips, De Willemsvaart regularly organizes themed trips, often in collaboration with museums, hotels and festivals in The Hague. In short: The Willemsvaart offers an alternative and relaxed mode of transport, where you get to know The Hague from a new side!
Many people from outside The Hague do not know that The Hague has canals. The fact is that De Willemsvaart can offer several trips, where you always discover a different part of the city from the water. Some boat trips are short (about one hour) and some long (more than three hours). In addition, there are three canals to the coast and two to Loosduinen, and then it is also possible to sail along the Haagse Bos to Huis ten Bosch and Wassenaar. With the boats of De Willemsvaart you can really go in all directions!
Check the website of the Willemsvaart for the current offer of regular sailings. Do you want to sail with a group? That is also possible, click here to view the range and the possibilities.
Tickets for the various regular trips can be bought on site at the boat. However, it is recommended to book in advance via +31 6-19853280 or via firstname.lastname@example.org
In addition to the daily sailings, the Willemsvaart also provides boat trips for group outings. You can sail around the city center with the Willemsvaart, but it is also possible to sail from the city to the coast or vice versa. You can also go to Drievliet and Madurodam. There are moorings near various museums, such as Escher, Hofwijck in Voorburg, Panorama Mesdag and Meermanno, and on the canal are many restaurants and cafes with mooring, which makes a group outing with combined activities ideal. For all possibilities, please contact Willemsvaart without obligation!
