The Zeeheldenfestival on The Hague's Prins Hendrikplein started out as a modest party in 1981 to celebrate the ten-year anniversary of the neighbourhood association. Now, the party has grown into a 5-day spectacle with 50 performances for hedonists of all ages. There are children's activities, entertainment, art, dance, music and delicious food and drinks. All kinds of bands will take to the stage to offer festivalgoers a plethora of musical styles from rockabilly and pop, to ska and hip hop.
Music galore
The party already gets started earlier in the day with children's activities and entertainment. However, each evening will end with a bang with live music on the outdoor stages.

Children can enjoy a wide variety of handicraft activities, puppet shows, storytelling and magicians as well as workshops.
Location
The Zeeheldenfestival takes place in the Zeeheldenkwartier, one of The Hague's most charming districts. Whithin walking distance of The Hague's city centre, the Zeeheldenkwartier (literally Sea Heroes Quarter) offers a genuine urban neighborhood with beautiful jugendstil houses, vivid terraces on sunny squares, authentic shops and lots of trendy restaurants, lunchrooms and coffee-shops.
Directions
Zeeheldenkwartier is easiest to reach by car via Mauritskade, Laan van de Meerdervoort and Waldeck Pyrmontkade. Street parking is paid for most of the day in Zeeheldenkwartier. There are two small parking garages in Prins Hendrikstraat and Elandstraat. The neighbourhood is easy to reach by public transport from both major train stations in The Hague: trams 3 and 16 both have stops in Zeeheldenkwartier.
