The 2022-23 Ocean Race will visit nine iconic international cities over a six-month period, with one leg starting from Alicante, Spain.
After many stages and miles along countries such as Cabo Verde, Cape Town, Brazil, United States, Denmark and Germany, the participants will arrive in the port of Scheveningen on Sunday 11th June. At the stop in The Hague, all eyes of the Dutch and international sailing community are focused on the Hofstad. The port of Scheveningen is transforming into the place where sailing, water sports and sustainability come together. Read below what there is to do.
Ocean Live Park
For five days, the harbor of Scheveningen is the center of The Ocean Race. From 11th to 15th June 2023 there is a lot to experience in and around the port. Social themes, activities for young and old in the Ocean Live Park and water sports fun; it's all possible during The Ocean Race The Hague. Whether you are already a sailor or not. The Ocean Race is an outing for the whole family, where you can immerse yourself in everything sailing has to offer, with music and culinary indulgence. Entrance to the Ocean Live Park is free.
Race program
On Sunday 11th June, the ten VO65 and IMOCA sailing yachts are expected in Scheveningen, followed by the 'Awards Night' on Monday 12th June. On Tuesday, June 13th, the Pro-Am Race for the VO65 and IMOCA class is scheduled, followed by the IMOCA In-Port Race and the award ceremony. On Wednesday, June 14th, visitors can enjoy the Pro-Am Race for the VO65 class, followed by the VO65 In-Port Race and awards ceremony.
