The Hague's premier Jazz festival, on the Bierkade with super cosy foodtruck square and sailing music!
The festival Jazz in de Gracht (literally Jazz in the Canal) is a super cosy music festival in the city centre of The Hague. On and around the water along the Bierkade, Dunne Bierkade and the Groenewegje, dozens of jazz artists will give free concerts from boats and floating stages.
During the music event, you can enjoy snacks and drinks at the various cafés and restaurants along the quays. There will also be a large number of food trucks on the quays offering all kinds of culinary delicacies. Without a doubt the most enjoyable jazz festival in the Netherlands!
The programme is yet to be announced.
Locations Jazz in the canal
Festival Jazz in de gracht will take place at three locations in the city centre of The Hague:
Bierkade (programme from 4pm)
Dunne Bierkade (programme from 18.00 hrs)
Groenewegje (programme from 18.00 hrs)
The Hague feels proud with this unique event. Jazz belongs in the hofstad, and the canals have been getting the attention they deserve for several years now. Although The Hague is not yet so well known as a city of canals, you can take the most enjoyable tours on canal boats with guides on board telling the best stories about The Hague.
Due to crowds, organisers recommend coming by public transport or bicycle. The (Dunne) Bierkade is a five-minute walk from The Hague Hollands Spoor Station and ten minutes from CS. Moreover, several trams and buses stop nearby.
