Writers Unlimited International Literature Festival brings over a hundred writers, poets, spoken word artists and musicians to The Hague during its 29th edition from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 January 2024.
The festival theme this year is Human Voices, focusing on the author's and character's voice in spoken, written or sung stories or poems, as well as artificial intelligence, chatbots and ChatGPT.
Listen, watch and meet your favourite author or meet new authors and their books. Enjoy the mix of talks, interviews, readings, prose, poetry, film and music!
As before, the festival will take place as a continuous four-day festival with both daytime and evening programmes in libraries, theatres and schools throughout The Hague.
The big festival evenings on Friday 19 and Saturday 20 January in six venues of Theater aan het Spui and Filmhuis Den Haag will offer dozens of talks and readings with many authors from home and abroad. The festival closes festively on Sunday afternoon 21 January with Ode to Remco Campert and the presentation of The Hague Literature Prizes in the Koninklijke Schouwburg.
