Festival Classique in The Hague has become a household name in the music world in recent years. The event introduces people to classical music in a surprising and relaxed way. By offering unique performances for visitors from a few months old to well over eighty, Festival Classique shows that classical music is fun for everyone!
From 13th until 15th of June, Scheveningen beach will be converted into a festival site where you can enjoy classical music by top musicians and crossovers with pop music, film and dance with your feet in the sand. Festival Classique is the classical music festival for everyone and breaks through the fixed setting of classical music, leaves the concert halls for what they are, builds an iconic festival site in the middle of Scheveningen beach and lets the sand, the wind and the sun reverberate in the music. And between the concerts you can enjoy a snack and drink at the catering pavilion.

Nature
Festival Classique is located by the sea and therefore naturally relates to nature, which can also be seen and heard in many productions.
Scheveningen
The festival locations are surrounded by all kinds of other attractions in Scheveningen, such as Museum Beelden aan Zee, De Pier, SEA LIFE, the Circustheater and Holland Casino. In the immediate vicinity there is plenty to do for young and old. Museum Beelden aan Zee, hidden in the dunes, is the only museum in the Netherlands entirely devoted to sculpture. After a wonderful walk on the beach, you can enjoy a delicious meal with a view of the sea at De Pier, the restaurants and cafes on the boulevard and the beach bars. The AFAS Circustheater and Holland Casino guarantee a fun night out in Scheveningen. And the historic city center of The Hague is only fifteen minutes away from the beach of Scheveningen!
Accessibility
Scheveningen is quickly and easily accessible from the center of The Hague by public transport, car and bicycle. In all cases it takes about fifteen minutes.
Those traveling by public transport can take tram lines 1 and 9 and bus lines 21, 22 and 23. From The Hague Central Station you can use tram line 9 in the direction of Scheveningen. From Station Den Haag Hollands Spoor, HTM trams 1 and 9 run towards the beach. Get off at the Kurhaus stop.
By car, follow the signs for Scheveningen Bad from the highway. There are several parking garages in the immediate vicinity of the boulevard: Parking Garage Boulevard, Parking Nieuwe Parklaan, Parking Kurhaus, Parking Scheveningen Strand and Parking Strandweg. These are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and all three are within a ten-minute walk of the boulevard.
The best way to go to Scheveningen is by (moped) bicycle. This is the fastest, especially in good weather. There are many unguarded bicycle parking spaces in Scheveningen. Directly on the beach there are also several guarded bicycle sheds from Biesieklette, where you can park your bicycle for free.
