Flexible language courses across multiple locations

As of July 1st, Language Institute TaalTaal has embraced a more flexible and hybrid model of language learning. Formerly based solely in Scheveningen, the school now offers lessons both online and at multiple locations, including a new office in Leiden and a course space in The Hague’s SoZa building. The goal: to meet the needs of students who value accessibility, variety, and personal attention.

The SoZa building, located next to Laan van NOI station, has quickly become a hub for Dutch Immersion courses. The space is praised for its calm atmosphere, easy access, and professional feel. Other languages are also taught in small groups or one-on-one, both online and on-site.

“I’m really happy with this building, it's spacious enough, and I feel like a fish in a fishbowl (in the best way)! I biked here all the way from Wassenaar: a quick ride through green paths! Grateful to the TaalTaal team for making this possible.”

– Thilly, Dutch teacher

Despite the geographical shift, the heart of TaalTaal remains unchanged!

“I’ve been working for TaalTaal for a year,” says Dutch instructor Emily. “After the move, I realized the location doesn’t matter, it’s the people and the passion behind the lessons that make TaalTaal feel warm and welcoming.”

TaalTaal is known for its personal approach and wide variety of course options. Group and private lessons are tailored to each student’s pace and learning style. A highlight is the Dutch Immersion program, which combines classroom sessions with real-life practice, including café visits, local outings, and trips to the library.

“Everyone learns differently and at their own speed. That’s what makes our lessons effective and never boring,” says Emily.

A new season of courses (for all languages, not just Dutch) starts the week of September 22nd, with classes available for all levels, from beginners to advanced learners. Curious students can attend an Open Day on September 10th in Leiden or September 13th in The Hague, where they can meet teachers and receive a free intake to assess their level.

With a strong teaching team and a growing community of learners from around the world, TaalTaal continues to show that language learning can be accessible, flexible, and deeply personal, no matter where it takes place.
