Daifuku mochi workshop
In this workshop, you will discover how to make Daifuku mochi yourself. You will prepare four different types of mochi, each with its own flavour and appearance. One variety is inspired by Japanese cherry blossoms and has a subtle pink colour, referring to spring.
Izumi and Misato from Mochi AN will lead the workshop. They will first demonstrate how the process works. Then you will get to work yourself and make your own mochi step by step.
Matcha and Japanese tea will be served during the workshop. The tea is provided by Hug the Tea and complements the flavours of the freshly prepared mochi.
At the end of the workshop, you will take home four homemade Daifuku mochi, packed in a box. The mochi are best eaten within 24 hours.
Additional information
Anko (sweet red bean paste) will not be made during the workshop. The anko will be prepared in advance.
The advice is to bring an apron because of the rice flour.
