Kacey Wong’s Artist Exhibition
Hong Kong–born artist Kacey Wong returns to The Hague for an exhibition at NGO DEI.
Kacey Wong’s Artist Exhibition: Tales of Resistance - Allegory & Myth will offer profound reflections on conflict, exile, and imagination, exploring how humor, allegory, and myth serve as tools of resistance in an era of authoritarian expansion. Through installation art, photography, and satirical works, Wong examines how laughter, absurdity, and satire can be transformed into powerful acts of resistance.
During the opening night, the artist will construct a small fortune-telling temple inside the gallery and offer us a live performance titled "Living Deity".
Artist: Kacey Wong is a Hong Kong–born political artist and activist. Now living in exile in Taiwan and formerly a visual arts professor in Hong Kong, Wong draws on his personal experiences of political upheaval and displacement.
