Optical illusions, impossible architecture, matchless tessellations, infinite landscapes, masterful metamorphoses. That could only be one artist: M.C. Escher. On 17 June 2023, it will be 125 years since Escher (1898-1972) was born. Of course, this will be celebrated with a party at Escher in het Paleis! Will you join the party?

Escher in Het Paleis has put together a birthday programme with something fun for everyone. In front of the palace door you will already find an Escher surprise and inside everything is also dedicated to his birthday. In addition, you can of course enjoy the exhibition The discoverer of Escher: Samuel Jessurun de Mesquita about Escher's bond with his teacher. Please note that some parts are free and others have a separate price. See the website for more information.
