End the week with a wonderful Sunday morning concert consisting of three beautiful works played by string quartet Matangi Quartet and pianist Frank van der Laar.

In twenty-three years, Matangi has become one of the most prominent and versatile ensembles in the Dutch musical landscape and on international stages. Each of the four musicians is independent and idiosyncratic. What binds them is an unbridled creative curiosity for new musical styles, unknown repertoire and collaborations with other art forms from cabaret to dance. The quartet has never restricted itself to one style of music and has always embarked on new adventures, from classical to jazz and from dance to pop. In this programme, they collaborate with pianist Frank van der Laar in Schumann's beautiful piano quintet.

Programme:

Beethoven, string quartet

no. 8 in e minor op. 59

Turina, Serenata op. 87

Schumann, piano quintet

in E flat major op. 44
